Welcome to Global Hawaii's Ramiele Malubay
Page. Since its been awhile since American Idol selected
anybody from Hawaii we thought we would endorse Ramiele Malubay
this year. She is from Miramar, Florida but she does dance
the Hula and considers our own Jasmine Trias as one of her
idols. Also I think she could almost pass as a Filipino
from Hawaii. We will provide information and links to keep
all you Ramiele Malubay fans up to date as we cheer Ramiele on her way
to becoming the next American Idol, Please watch and vote often.
Dishrag reports that Ramiele
in Simon Cowell's top 4
Dishrag is reporting that in an
interview with Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson, Simon referred to
Ramiele as one of the top singers due to her popularity.
Here is the excerpt below:
Dish Rag: You’ve both mentioned that you think a guy is
going to win this season. Why?
Randy: I think the boys are stronger and more
interesting than the girls this year.
Simon: Yeah, I agree.
Randy: It’s different every year. It just depends what
comes out
DR: So
what are your picks, your favorites? Simon: Top three: David Archuleta. Jason
Castro. Brooke or Ramiele Malubay.
DR: What is it about each one of them that makes them stand out?
Simon: Popularity.
Randy: Popularity and they also rule in
Ramiele in top 10
Ramiele got some better comments
from Randy "I wasn't jumping up and down, but I liked it" and
Paula "Definitely better than last week" and a bizarre "It
sounded like Chikeze was on harmonica" from Simon. She
once again avoided the bottom three which were the all girls
rocker Amanda Overmyer, perennial bottom 3 girl Kristy Lee Cook
and in a huge surprise Irish girl Carly Smithson. Kristy
was once again saved and Amanda was sent home and out of the top
10 tour group. Ramiele is looked a lot more confident this
week and I think she is improving a lot. She definitely
has the voice I have a feeling if she picks the right more
upbeat song she can stay in the competition a bit longer.
Malubay avoids bottom 3
Despite being called boring by
Simon and Randy for her rendition of "In My Life" Ramiele
avoided the bottom 3 thanks to all your votes. Perhaps it
was how she stood there and took the criticism and gave a nice
sad face. Either way she needs to step up her game next
week. Instead it was Syesha, Kristi and David H in the
bottom three an though I thought Kristi should go David
Hernandez was sent packing. Perhaps he just couldn't get
past that stripper scandal.
Ramiele Makes Final 12
Its Showtime for our hanai'd
(adopted) girl Ramiele as she has made it into the Final 12.
Its been a great run so far as she made her say into the Top 20
then survived two eliminations outlasting Alexandra Lushington,
Alaina Whitaker, Kady Mallow and Asia's Epperson.
Interestingly enough it seems those who are closest to Ramiele
tend to get sent home. First her roommate then her two
closest friends Kady and Danny.
