We close our Kamehame Ridge series with this classic sunset picture. Bob’s moonwalk provided an excellent day to do the trail as not only did we get a nice view of the moon but also a spectacular sunset complete with the green flash. Not to mention the view at the top and the goat sightings.

As the sun sets we journey back down the Kamehame ridge trail as the sun begins to set. Along the way back there is always this one plant not sure what its called but it has a bunch of leaves that kind of looks like Aloe or pineapple leaves and then this stalk of flowers that goes high into the sky. This makes for a beautiful silhouette shot that I call the “Alicia shot” after one of my friend that made the discovery.

We can’t do a Bob’s Moonwalk series without the actual moon. Here is a shot taken from the Kamehame Ridge summit and it shows the moon over “Rabbit Island”.  This is actually Manana island through it is shaped like a rabbit’s head hence its nickname. It is home to 10,000 edge-tail shearwaters, 80,000 Sooty Tern, 20,000 Brown Noddys and many other birds.
