Here is the White Pelican which is a relatively light bird with a large body. Pelican’s are known for their expandable throat pouches, which they use for catching fish. Their bone structure contains air and skin which makes them lighter than you would think though they can still get up to 30 pounds. Pelicans are common throughout Africa. White Pelicans fish cooperatively by forming a circle of swimming birds and “herd” fish towards the center where they can be scooped up into their pouches. Fish make up just about all the food pelicans eat. Next we go Lion King with Pumbaa the Wart Hog.
