We here at Global Hawaii would like to thank those who gave their lives to defend this country and ask everybody to pause for at least a moment in their weekend to give thanks. Below is a list of Memorial Day activities I highly recommend the Punchbowl ceremony and the Lantern Floating. You can also take a moment at Punchbowl to see all the graves with flags and leis as shown in our photo of the day above.

[…] Here is a picture of the Ko’olau mountain range that I took from Kualoa Ranch during the movie set tour. If you look carefully you probably see similar views in the ABC show Lost which was partly filmed at the ranch. The range is actually the western half of what once was Ko’olau Volcano. Scientists think that in ancient times the entire eastern half slid cataclysmically into the Pacific Ocean. The erupting Ko’olau volcano is also believed to have created many eastern Oahu landmarks such as Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, Koko Head and Punchbowl. […]
