We begin our special Pacific Aviation Museum Hangar 37 series with the Mitsubishi A6M2 or otherwise knows at the”Zero” fighter. 10,815 of these were built and they could reach a maximum speed of 335 MPH carrying a crew of one. At the time of the Pearl Harbor attack 420 Zero’s were active in the Pacific and thanks to a combination of excelle3nt maneuverability and firepower became a formidable opponent. This display plane was recovered in 1964 and restored to flying condition. There are few airworthy Zero’s surviving today.
