Time to end the week out with some food. We were cruising around in Kailua and got a chance to try Cactus Bistro out. I’ve heard about it before but this was my first time there. This is the Slow-roasted Shinsato Farm’s Pork Shoulder “Pernil” with tamarind agave glaze, Wailua mango escabeche and whipped potatoes with jalepeno butter. It was a good sized portion with two thick slices of pork and some crisp and crunch skin. I really enjoyed my dinner and my companions enjoyed theirs too. The only problem I have is that I live so far from Kailua. Check it out at 767 Kailua Road and Isle Discount (ID) Card members get a discount on your meal.
