Today we feature the award winning Santa’s Enchanted Rainforest tree by the Department of Parks and Recreation. They used plastic bottles to build Ginger, Protea, Bird of Paradise and a cascade of Plumeria flowers. Truly a stunning tree that you should see in person. Below is the Corporation Consel’s mystical enchanted rainforest as butterflies, fairies, frogs and geckos keep watch for Santa.

We move from Christmas Trees to Wreaths. The wreath above is the Mayor Holly Award winning entry by Taryn Arakaki called “Sunflowers of Hope for Aunty Vera.”  I should have also taken a closeup as the wreath is actually made with pencils and what you see is largely the tips of the pencil. If you get a chance be sure to see it in person. Below is the Adult first place wreath by Json N featuring our favorite snowman Olaf from the movie Frozen.

So many trees and so little time so I’ve doubled the fun with two photos.  The top photo is HART’s “Enchanged Rainforest” tree complete with Menehune and owls. Below is the Department of Planning and Permitting’s “Starry Night” tree Fairies and butterflies busily glide as the fox and owl watch from the side.
