Here is a photo of the Hokule’a at sunset as it sails off into the distance. The Hokule’a is a replica of a Hawaiian “wa’a kaulua” or double-hulled voyaging canoe. She was originally launched in 1975 and has sailed over 140,000 mails across the pacific. The twin masts give her a distinctive look.
