Green Path was at the Hawaii Geek Meet showing off their photovoltaic solar panels. They were using it to power a electric train set and also to help charge some cell phones and other electronic toys. The one in the photo is capable to charge 6 phones at once. Part of their plan is to create mobile stations that in event of disasters or major power outages can be used to solar power a communications hub. Of course they also sell some lower end stuff like the one above which to me would be perfect if you are hiking or camping and still need your electronic toys.

Medieval time were not all about sword fighting and weapons. There were also paintings and music. Here we are entertained with the Vielle which is a European bowed stringed instrument similar to a modern violin. It has a longer and deeper body and five strings (rather than four). It was used by troubadours and jongleurs from the 13th through the 15th centuries.

Another group at the 6th Annual Hawaii Geek Meet were the Mandalorian Merc of Hawaii who showed off parts of their intricate costumes. Mandalorians are a fictional group of warriors from several species in the Star Wars universe. They commonly act at mercenaries or bounty hunters. One of the most known was Boba Fett. We may see more mandalorian in future Star Wars movies.
