Several kite boarders and wind surfers take advantage of another perfect day at Kailua Bay. Kailua Bay is located on the windward side of Oahu. This area is near where President Barack Obama took a couple of vacations to Oahu rending a beach house in Kailua. In 1998 Dr. Stephen Leatherman declared Kailua Beach the finest American Beach. Its steady trade winds makes Kailua Beach one of the world’s preeminent windsurfing and kite-surfing.
