We send out 2008 with the intricate Christmas display from the Department of Enterprise Services at the Honolulu City Lights display.  Each year they add to their model showing various scenes in Hawaii and a perfect way to end 2008.  We look forward giving you another year of photos in 2009.

Here is a look at the outside of Honolulu Hale as the Honolulu City Lights winds down into its last weekend.  I tried to get this from a moving trolley but had to walk over and use a tripod to get a good shot.  If you do decide to take a Trolley tour be sure to sit on the left side for the best view.  Better yet walk by and also go inside Honolulu Hale to see the Christmas trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses.

The Pearl Harbor Festival of Lights was a free 30 minute boat tour of Pearl Harbor open to the public offered as community service by the US Navy and the National Park Service.  Tours departed from the Arizona Memorial Visitor center to view the many decorated ships in the harbor.  There was a huge line but it was an awesome ride that recommend you check out next year.  Photos in the dark on moving boats aren’t that easy but this was one of the better shots I took.
