HISTORY OF FORMOSA DANCE GROUP
 
Formosa Dance Group of Hawaii was founded in November 1998 by Instructor Mary Hsu. Our main goal is to promote the beauty and wonders of the Chinese heritage and culture through various dance performances. Our dances include: aborigine dance, folk dance, Chinese modern dance and much much more! Formosa was a name given to Taiwan, Republic of China by the Portuguese. The definition of Formosa is "Beautiful Island".
